Credit And Collections Officer
Ensuring timely loan assessments and conducting quality assurance checks for loan approvals and recommendations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include monitoring loan repayments, managing arrears, and driving continuous improvements within the credit and collections operations.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to maintain positive client relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key performance areas

Assess and recommend approval/decline of loan applications based on viability and risk as per the authorized approval threshold.

Support seamless collaboration between sales, client services, and credit teams to ensure fast loan evaluations.

Contribute to the digitization of credit operations to improve processing efficiency.

Ensure loan evaluations align with PostFin’s policies and Credit Practices.

Monitor and calculate loan repayments, ensuring adherence to collection procedures and quality standards.

Address anomalies in collections and work closely with corporate payrolls to ensure accurate salary deductions.

Review and approve catch-up payment plans for clients with arrears, ensuring compliance.

Collaborate with legal teams on overdue accounts and implement necessary actions per policy.

Coordinate with Debt Collectors, Recovery Agencies, and Attorneys for timely loan recoveries.

Track and report on recovery performance, offering insights and suggesting process improvements.

Support colleagues during high workload periods to maintain workflow efficiency.

Educational and experience requirements

Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certification course in Credit Analysis and/Collections will be an added advantage.

At least 2 years working experience in the financial services industry, specifically in credit and collections.
